Creed iii teaser poster project

the purpose of this project was to put together a teaser poster for an upcoming movie. My overall concept (for Creed III) was founded in the main “villain” of the movie. Creed’s childhood best friend went to prison when he was a teenager to take the fall for him. the movie’s main conflict arises when he gets out and challenges creed for the heavyweight title.

the overall concept of a boxer breaking out of prison held true, but I decided to take a creative risk by hand cutting pieces of paper and arranging everything on photoshop to create a more hand-made feel. I think this works well with the movie because there is a characteristic self-made aspect in the world of boxing. Fighters must train and build themselves up to become who they are meant to be.
